The Family Business Excellence Awards
The Family Business Excellence Awards is an initiative of Family Business Association to recognise and celebrate the achievements of families and individuals in respected and successful family businesses of all sizes and at all stages, acknowledging the significant contribution they make to the Australian and New Zealand social fabric and economy. Unlike many other business awards, the Family Business Excellence Awards specifically acknowledge and showcase excellence in family business.
The Family Business Excellence Awards are made up of Business Award Categories and Individual Award Categories.
Business Award Categories:
Each business award recognises the distinctive achievements and journey of family-owned businesses. The Founder’s Family Business Award celebrates newer businesses that are family-operated and are in the formative stages of establishing governance and growth. The Established Family Business Award acknowledges businesses that have matured through solid industry positioning, developed governance structures, and have implemented succession planning. The Legacy Family Business category recognises businesses that have been successfully passed down through generations, upholding a strong family tradition and values while tackling unique challenges related to succession, governance, and maintaining harmony within the family.
Individual Award Categories:
The Family Business Excellence Awards also celebrate remarkable individuals in the family business community. The Emerging Leader in Family Business Award honours a young or upcoming leader who embraces family values and best practices, contributing significantly to the family business. The Leading Woman in Family Business Award recognises an outstanding female leader who has demonstrated significant achievements in leadership, promoting the role of women in family business and within the broader community.
