There are predictable patterns of behavior that high net-worth and high-profile families engage in that can create unique problems.  In this dynamic workshop, facilitated by Natalie McVeigh, we will identify those behaviours, their cause and effective methods to alter these patterns to improve communication and family cohesion.

We will work through the Practitioner Spectrum to understand the different interventions that can be used when advising families and understand where your skills end and when to refer out (and to whom). The Spectrum hinges on systems theory and engaging effectively with boundaries in that system and within yourself.

Governance is how families make decisions and communicate with one another. Research has shown that structures are a proxy for trust. This workshop will expose you to the governance research and options including self-governance to more complex systems and when to employ or avoid them. We will discuss your role and tools to expand your advisor skills while putting your clients’ knowledge and agency at the forefront. Lastly, we will discuss the perils and pearls of best practices.

During this interactive masterclass Dr. Jamie Weiner and Russ Haworth will help you understand the emerging generation's personal quest for legitimacy.

Motivated by their global research, which explored the lived experience of growing up in a prominent family, Russ and Jamie became passionate about making a difference for those born in the shadow of a giant.

Utilising resources from their highly acclaimed, multi-day RISE Experience, you will explore the key findings from their research, including patterns very likely present within emerging generation members’ lives.

All generations of a family business will leave this Masterclass recognising the power of Breaking Moments and understanding the four phases of the Quest - Awareness, Tug of War, Exploration and Ownership.
