CALL FOR POSTERS
The Australian Law Librarians' Association Conference
19 - 21 August 2026
Evoqé Events (formally known as Q Events), Melbourne VIC
Thank you for your interest in presenting a digital poster at the 2026 Australian Law Librarians' Association Conference.
This is a wonderful opportunity to highlight your knowledge, share innovative projects, and express your creativity within the vibrant community of law librarianship and legal research.
If your pitch is successful, you’ll be asked to prepare an electronic poster for display on the conference website and app, as well as an A6 version to be featured on the back of your lanyard; giving your work the spotlight it deserves.
For those interested in going further, you’ll have the chance to expand your poster into a professional development session post-conference or turn it into an article for the ALLA journal.
To help your poster reach an even wider audience, we will also invite you for a short interview during the conference (or beforehand if you’re unable to attend in person) to be shared on LinkedIn, with the option to post to other ALLA social platforms as well.
As for poster design, let your creativity take the lead! Whether you’re a fan of classic design techniques or want to try out AI tools, feel free to experiment, just remember to mention any AI involvement in your pitch.
We’d love for you to explore topics such as the pros and cons of ebooks, adapting to change, promoting our skills to clients like lawyers and students, or how to effectively train new lawyers or law students in research skills.
Of course, these are just a few ideas to get you inspired, your unique perspective after all, is what will truly make the conference special.
Ready to make your mark?
Submit your pitch here and let your creativity shine at the 2026 ALLA Conference.
We can’t wait to see the ideas and passion you bring.
Best of luck and happy pitching!

Call for posters closes on Friday, 14 August 2026.
